Workshops & Events

Nearly all of us use our voice every single day, but how well do we know it? Singing is a great way to press the "reset" button when we're feeling overwhelmed or dysregulated, yet it gets less attention than other regulation practices like breathing or meditation.
In this workshop, you will learn about how singing supports wellbeing, mindfulness, bodily awareness, and emotional regulation. You will be guided to get to know your voice a bit better, through playful and exploratory exercises. You will then pick up some practical tools to use singing and other forms of vocalization to affect your mood.
This workshop will take place online. You will not be asked to sing in front of anyone else, giving you the freedom to experiment and try things out. There will be opportunities for group reflection after some of the activities, but you only need to participate as much as you are comfortable.
