The Minding the Pitch: Music for Wellbeing course will be launching on the 10th of September, 2026.

To be alerted when the course will be open for registration, please sign-up to the mailing list at the bottom of the page for updates.

In the meantime, check out what the course will include:

The Minding the Pitch: Music for Wellbeing online course is designed to give you a "crash course" of musical knowledge that will allow you to use music on an ongoing basis to boost your mental health, physical wellbeing, self-efficacy, sense of purpose, and self-expression (among other things - see the Theory of Change!). It is ideal for anyone completely new to music or looking to return to music.

Alongside learning how to understand and create music, you will get psychoeducation (why do this thing for your wellbeing, and why does it work?) and lots of guided activities that integrate what you're learning about music, how you experience it personally, and how you can use this learning (about music and about yourself) going forward. Further, every lesson and activity has been chosen because there is evidence and a rationale that it will help you develop as a musician and a person.

Here's what you'll be doing:

If you would like to ask about group access for the course, including options for live facilitation (online or in-person in the Glasgow area), please email info@mindingthepitch.com.

There may be scope for one-off workshops or a series of workshops to be delivered in services, charities, to community groups, etc., so please get in touch if this is what you're looking for - I welcome enquiries about collaborations!
